"Conscience" by Sergey Kharlamov
This work has presence; it portrays not objects but voices. It moved me. Appropriately named, this finely crafted work draws to attention many ethical conundrums. Why are we compelled to take that which is delightfully simple and change it? What value is there in doing so? It is the kind of art that keeps you up at night.
Summer’s Inspiration
Summer is nearly here and with it comes a subtle seductive quality. We are driven to venture outside, to explore with all of our senses. The landscape becomes an infinite pallet of rich hues and textures, the light reflective, the heat penetrating. The slightest of breezes can have a profound impact. Heightened awareness lurks in the morning haze and in the stillness of the night. Our natural world is constantly changing, it is an endless source of inspiration.

"Creative Creatures:Topsy Turvy 4”
By Björn Dämpfling
A distrust of intellectual process goes back to the roots of philosophy in every developed culture in the world. In Dampfling’s “Topsy Turvy 4” we can feel this sense of distrust. It screams of a more romantic attitude toward truth, power and humble awareness.

"“Thyroide”
By Peter Mc Lane
The use of bright color does not deter from the broad sense of sadness, isolation and anger this image conveys. It illustrates a victim blind to the forces that repress her, wallowing in self pity. Mc Lane’s “Thyroide” oozes of dissatisfaction, contempt and regret.
An Open Studio
The appeal of an open studio is that it is welcoming. It affords one the opportunity to step into the artist’s world, if only for a glimpse. It is a passage through which we can share our vision and our work.
For virtual artists the creation of a very personal, informative and visually rich website can become an effective way to open one’s studio space to others.

"A painter paints the appearance of things, not their objective correctness, in fact he creates new appearances of things."
