Out of Mind
Werner Hornung
Beware the Man of One Book
(1 of 15)

This is Werner Hornung's second major exhibit on this site. Born in 1955 in Germany, he works as a freelance graphic artist in Paris where he is "still trying to make a living" out of his art. He has won Donnie awards at MOCA on three occasions.

He writes, "You might call [my art] photomanipulation but in my opinion it's just another way of painting. My art should be like telling a story, to create adventures and feelings and it's not about the tools used to make it. It's about one's skill to manipulate composition, form, rhythm...During the last 4 years I spent all of my time creating images... One of the many things I learned during those years: the most important software is situated at the right side of your brain and called INSPIRATION."
