If you can help...

MOCA: Museum of Computer Art, founded in 1993, operated for 12 years out of the personal funds of its co-founder and director, Don Archer. In July, 2005, it was chartered as nonprofit educational corporation by the Board of Regents of the State of New York. Today it enjoys 501 (c) (3) tax exempt status granted by the U. S. Internal Revenue Service, and donations are now tax deductible under relevant IRS regulations.

Both MOCA and computer art have grow spectacularly since 1993. It has been suggested that art generated on the computer is perhaps the most dominant form of art of our era. There are thousands of digital artists and thousands of digital art sites on the web. MOCA prides itself not only in participating in that growth but also in being an engine of growth for that art. It has also seen the maturing of that art into a fine art, as we hope exhibits on our pages will confirm.

We are the most authoritative and comprehensive digital art museum on the web. Our curating has been so careful and insightful that inclusion in our exhibits lends extraordinary prestige to the submitting artists.

There are certainly many other worthy calls for your money. But contributions to MOCA are vital to our success and growth. Besides expanding our site, here are some of the things we would like to do in the near future:

  • Establish a physical gallery or exhibit space for digital print art.

  • Promote and support digital art research and scholarship, and organize digital art programs and events for the public.

  • Build and preserve a digital print art collection.
Donations are tax deductible under relevant IRS law.
