Claudio Parentela was born in Catanzaro, Italy in 1962, where he currently lives and works. He is an illustrator, painter, photographer, mail artist, cartoonist, collagist, journalist and freelancer.

He has been active for many years in the international underground scene. He has collaborated with many magazines of contemporary art, literature and comics, both in Italy and around the world. His work has been featured both on paper and on the web.

His obscure and crazy works are displayed in many art galleries across the world and web.

Parentela also participates in many mail art programs. He has also collaborated with many bands in the genres of industrial music, noise, experimental, electronic and more. He has illustrated poems, stories and songs.

He has designed illustration and comic books for various publishers.
