Jack Martin Korbus

I was born in Lublin in 1971. I attended the Public School of Plastic Arts in Lublin. My specialization was the art of exhibition. I graduated from the Art Departmentent of Maria Curie-Sklodowska University in Lublin in 1995. I received a diploma from the Sculpture Department under the guidance of professor B. Zagajewski. I also worked on my thesis through the Painting Department under the guidance of professor M. Stelmasik. I finished my studies at the Art Education Institute with the award of UMCS Rector. I also began scientific research and started working on my doctoral thesis.

I received training from an atelier pluridisciplinaire at Ecole de Recherche Graphiques in Brussels. I conducted research on modern public art, the shaping of the modern metropolis image and the aesthetic aspect of urban space, working at the Department of Theory of Culture Popularization at Maria Curie-Sklodowska in Lublin.

Since 1998 I have worked in the Information Technology profession. Initially, for two years, I administered the network and servers (Aix and Linux systems) of the DMP Research and Development Center, using CATIA software and simultaneously gaining experience in administering online servers (Lotus, Apache, Netscape) as well as expanding my knowledge of online protocols, software and programming languages: HTML, DHTML, Java Script, Java other.

My growing experience in this field was accompanied by training in, among other things, advanced network administration (SCO) Open Server Rel.5, course no. 325, and others. At the same time, I worked on the development of my online gallery and was responsible for preparation of the DMP official web page. Subsequently, I administered online servers and ADSM Adstar Distributed Storage Manager backup servers.

My scientific research is devoted to public art, in particular, sculpting, which is my passion and an essential element in my life. I am fascinated with the social, pedagogical and philosophical aspects of spatial creation.

I work using the Blender software. More information about me is available on my website.
